Which includes, but not limited to, the following: Admiting and discharging of patients, Extensive wound care for e.g., packing of wounds, staging wounds and wound vac. Head-to-toe assessment of a patient which includes, Neurological, behavioral, cognitive and orientation, cardiovascular, respiratory, and pain assessment. My duties also include the administration of medications via IV, PO, intramuscular, subcutanous, NG Tube, GT, sublingually, and topically. I have competency in blood, TPN, clinamix, PRBC, platelets, plasma, potassium infusion and heparin drip. I have assisted in bedside thoracostomy by the M.D. I have performed several insertions of NG tubes, dobhoff tubes with bridle, foley catheters, peripheral IV lines, Picc line dressing changes, collection of various kinds of cultures, and Accu checks. I place a high premium on patient care and efficient documentation.
