Philosophy:
Recognizing that one is hurting and in need of change is a very intimate and personal process that takes courage and commitment. This journey also requires the guidance of a nurturing, supportive and effective therapist to help one achieve their goals and support the process in a non-judgmental and positive manner. My belief about therapy is that change does not happen by just talking; rather, it is vital to help clients to have new experiences in the office which they can take into their day-to-day lives. People in pain often have the experience of feelings and patterns which are difficult to break, and often seem "like they are living the life of someone else". My approach is assess each client's situation and needs and jointly develop a plan as to the best way to support the desired changes. I am trained in EMDR, Hypnotherapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Systemic Constellation Work. I work with individuals (adults, children and adolescents), families and couples.
