I am Family Medicine trained, and I believe in considering the "big picture" even within the Urgent Care setting. I feel it is important to gather sufficient information (from the patient and the medical record, along with the physical exam and testing) to make a proper diagnosis the first time. Also, I think doctors as a whole tend to overuse antibiotics for many symptoms which would get better with natural or less-risky interventions, and I try to only use antibiotics when they are clearly indicated and beneficial for the patient. Last of all, I love working with children and "olderly" folks, and I strive to make everyone feel heard during their visit.
