I am a Board Certified psychiatrist and psychopharmacologist in private practice in the East Bay area, with offices in Lafayette and Walnut Creek, CA. I specialize in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and adults with psychiatric problems. My main area of expertise is psychopharmacology (or medication management). I do believe in evidence-based, data-driven practice of psychopharmacology. I have significant clinical, academic and research backgrounds in the area psychopharmacology in general, and in the area of pharmacological management of mood disorders, including bipolar disorder and major depressive disorder, in particular. I participated as a co-investigator in several clinical trials, including my work as an independent evaluator in the Treatment for Adolescents with Depression Study - TADS - the largest controlled trial in adolescent depression.
