Philosophy:

I chose family medicine as a specialty for two reasons. First is that I value the long term relationships with patients and with families. Second, I firmly believe patients need a primary physician who is looking at the whole picture of their needs - physically and emotionally. I saw patients fall through the cracks when they had a specialist for every problem but no one coordinating and guiding them through it all - someone who cares about them, not just their current problem.
