Radiography Intern

Performs routine/diagnostic Mammography, DEXA, and Radiography exams for all ages in a precise and timely manner with experience in both film/digital Mammography and conventional/computed Radiography Maintains Quality Control functions related to Mammography, ACR and assists with BI-RAD tracking while meeting MQSA requirements Proficient in Siemens Inspiration, Siemens Novation and Lunar prodigy Working knowledge in Hologic and GE mammography equipment Knowledge of PACS and associated equipment Works efficiently to ensure an overall smooth workflow in high volume settings Communicates effectively with various diverse backgrounds Carefully explains procedures while providing reassurance and comfort to each patient Practices radiation safety methods Keeps track of inventory and orders medical supplies as needed for the entire facility Calls and confirms mammography appointments Reviews each patient's background before their appointment time Digitizes film and uploads discs of prior mammogram images for comparisons Performs fluoroscopy exams and assists physicians during arthrograms Able to adapt quickly in any work environment while being a team player
