Abstract:
A device for protecting a carpet and underlying pad from an article of furniture. In one embodiment, the device comprises an mounting portion having an upper cavity and a bottom surface. The upper cavity is enclosed by a plurality of walls and has a substantially planar floor surface. The bottom surface is substantially planar. The device further comprises a plurality of support members engaged with and extending from the bottom surface. Each of the support members comprise a conical shaped portion, a leg portion and a terminal portion. The conical shaped portion comprises first and second ends which define an overall length L1. The conical shaped member further comprises a diameter D1 along its length L1. The first end of the conical shaped portion is engaged with the bottom surface of the mounting portion. The leg portion comprises a first and second ends defining an overall length L2.

Abstract:
The present invention is a device for roasting a poultry item having a breast portion to be faced downward, first and second leg portions, and first and second wing portions. In one embodiment, the device comprises first and second members each having a first leg portion, a second leg portion and an upper support portion. The first and second leg portions of the first and second member extend downward from and are substantially perpendicular to their corresponding upper support portion. The upper support portion of the first and second member each comprise a wing support portion and a leg support portion. The first and second leg portions of the first member are rotatably connected to the first and second leg portions of the second member, respectively. The first member and second members are moveable from a storage position wherein the upper portions of the first and second members are disposed above each other to a cooking position wherein the upper portions of the first and second members are spaced outward and a substantial distance from each other so that the legs of the poultry item may be placed upon and support by the leg support portions of the first and second members and so that the wings of the poultry item may be placed upon and supported by the wing support portions of the first and second members thereby allowing the breast of the poultry item to be face downward and freely hanging while cooking.

A recreational device for use by a person to traverse a terrain surface. In one embodiment, the device comprises a wheel member and a track member engaged thereto. The track member comprises first and second bearing surfaces. The device further comprises a foot plate member adapted to carry and support the person. Abstract:
A device which protects a carpet from furniture by providing a pedestal type device on which the furniture rests. The device is comprised of a generally flat, horizontal element with a plurality of vertical, downwardly projecting, stiff pins attached thereto. The pins protrude though the carpet pile, through grid openings in the carpet backing, through the carpet pad and onto the floor surface. The furniture rests on the horizontal element which is held above the carpet by the pins. The furniture does not touch the carpet itself.
