Philosophy:
As a Certified Nurse-Midwife, I believe that pregnancy and childbirth are normal conditions. The majority of babies can be born with minimal intervention. There are some situations in childbirth, as in life in general, that require more intervention; however, this should be appropriate to the situation and not routine in all cases. I believe that the healthier a woman is, the more easily she will birth. I believe that families should receive thorough information and support for decision-making.
