Honor & Awards:
I once was awarded Most Valuable Player for my 5th grade football team. Then I went over to Tim Lane's house (he was on the team, too) and noticed he had the same damn award up on his wall as well. It dawned on my right then and there that everyone on the team had been awarded Most Valuable Player. While I appreciated the coach's sentiment (Tim’s father, actually…a really good guy) and agreed that we were all valuable, my worldview changed that day and as I realized everything from there on out was a sham. Oh, and I also learned football is a stupid sport. Sorry.
