Urology is unique, in that for most conditions, we as a specialty can help people with their quality of life. This is incredibly rewarding to me. For example, a female with incontinence when she is active with her kids, or a couple who is unable to be intimate due to medical problems leading to male erectile dysfunction. These are two problems that are usually simple to treat, with great outcomes. This is why I like my field, and I think that it shows when patients interact with our office.
