I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Addictions Counselor, specializing in work with adults and adolescents. I am currently Adjunct Faculty for the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work and work as a mental health counselor at Fort Lewis College. My experience includes work in a school based health center, wilderness therapy, detention centers, emergency services and in outpatient mental health for adults with dual disorders (addictions and mental illness). I am passionate about working with individuals and couples on improving health and wellness by learning skills to cope. As a cognitive therapist, I believe in the connection between our thoughts, feelings, and actions and therefore believe that engaging in daily pleasant activities improves emotional well-being. My treatment philosophy is rooted in Cognitive Therapy and is solution focused.
