I try to refocus current maladaptive behaviors to triggers that lead to maladaptive responses that we wish to change. Behavior change begins with self awareness that answers two basic questions: 1) who am I and 2) how do I wish to grow into a responsible person with the support of my therapist who will be honest with me.
