Philosophy:
I practice traditional individual psychodynamic psychotherapy with medication management on a fee for service model. I am direct, results oriented, and I individualize treatment based on patient needs. I support patient autonomy and prefer a collaborative approach to care. I rely on the medical model of psychiatric illness when it is suitable and effective. My technique is influenced by object-relations theory and dialectical-behavioral therapy. I believe in close collaboration with primary care and specialty care, as most medical and psychiatric conditions are multiply determined and influeunce other medical conditions.
