US Classification:
422 69, 722 681, 722 70, 722500, 722502, 722504, 722505, 722506, 722507, 72218601, 436518, 4352871, 4352872
Abstract:
A magnetic bead assisted sampling system for a fluid sensor. Magnetic beads are dispersed in a sampling volume for collecting the analyte. The beads are packed into a small volume for pre-concentration of the analyte. A solvent may be applied to the beads to elute the analyte from the beads for movement to an analyzer.

Hybrid Solar Cells

US Patent:
2011015, Jun 30, 2011
Filed:
Dec 29, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/649155
Inventors:
Yue Liu - Plymouth MN, US
Zhi Zheng - Shanghai, CN
Alex Freeman - Dallas TX, US
Assignee:
Honeywell International Inc. - Morristown NJ
International Classification:
H01L 31/00, H01L 31/18
US Classification:
136256, 438 63, 977774, 257E31032
Abstract:
Solar cells and methods for manufacturing solar cells are disclosed. An example solar cell includes a first electrode and a second electrode. A first active layer may be disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, and a second active layer different from the first active layer may also be disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode. One or more layers of conductive material may be disposed between the first active layer and the second active layer, if desired. In some instances, the first active layer may be sensitive to a first range of wavelengths, and the second active layer may be sensitive to a second range of wavelengths, where at least part of the first range of wavelengths does not overlap at least part of the second range of wavelengths. It is contemplated that more than two active layers may be used, if desired.
