Compositions for improved treatment of wounds on a patient. A first composition having a safe and effective amount of lidocaine, wherein the composition is topically applied to a wound on a patient. A second composition having a safe and effective amount of lidocaine and a safe and effective amount of topical antibiotic, wherein the composition is topically applied to a wound on a patient.
