Abstract:
A system for coupling a suspension medium to a load carrying structure of an elevator installation includes a frame and a hitch plate. The frame has two spaced apart side walls, wherein the side walls are positionable to receive a part of the load carrying structure between the side walls. Each side wall has a receptacle having a longitudinal shape. The hitch plate has at least one fixture configured to couple to a sheave arrangement for the suspension medium. Each receptacle is sized to movably receive a section of the hitch plate so that the hitch plate extends between the side walls and is rotatable about a vertical axis.

An apparatus or tool for installing an elevator hoist machine to a support at the top of the vertically extending guide rails. The apparatus includes means for imparting vertical movement to the hoist machine and horizontal movement thereto at the upper ends of the guide rails to enable hoist machines to be installed in areas with limited ceiling height.

Abstract:
A method and an adapter kit for fastening a first elevator component to a second elevator component. The kit comprises a first bracket having two opposing walls interconnected by a web configured for attachment to the first component wherein a slot extending parallel to the web is provided in each of the opposing walls. A second and a third bracket is provided each having two opposing walls interconnected by a web wherein a slot is provided in the web extending between the two opposing walls. The second and third brackets are mountable to the second component by their respective slots. The first bracket is mountable to the second and third brackets by the slots in its opposing walls when the first bracket is positioned such that its opposing walls lie adjacent to the opposing walls of the second and third brackets, respectively.
